The Birthday Bar Crawl
The now infamous birthday bar crawl started out tame, with a lively group rendezvousing at Zum Schneider, an East Village
staple.  We dined to bratwurst, schweinwurst, weisswurst, lets just say a lot of sausage.  Since it was also during the time of
Oktoberfest we had a chance to sample some seasonal beverages on tap.  Our next stop was the Hop Devil Grill.  There
they had tons and tons of beers on draft.  Some of us chose our beer by the best looking tap, while others recognized an
old favorite.  You can thank "DJ Gman" for the classic tunes in this establishment.  Next was the Burp Castle.  This is place
of beer worship... literally, they have monks and will kick you out if your worship gets too loud.  We tried McSorleys, the
oldest bar in Manhattan next. We loved waiting in line (not) for the infamous bar, but the bouncer (Go Jets) was being an
*sshole.  The fifth stop was Standings Bar.  Again here they had massive amounts of microbrews on draft and free cold
pizza.  The "official" last stop on the crawl was the Beauty Bar.  Unfortunately, Dave did not get a manicure as the wait was
too long.  We did manage to lose the cake dish at this point.  So if you are in there and come across a 9" X 13", please
return to the Lucyshyn's.  The next stop on the unofficial bar crawl was the Gator Bar.  Here Bob ruled at skeeball and
buckhunt.  We also got some more free pizza to refuel the bar crawl machine.  The last stop, of course this is always the last
stop for most nights out, was V Bar (not
the V Bar).  I can't say exactly what happened here, but surprisingly many of the
participants who started made the distance to the Final Stop.  We'll see you again next year for Gregtember!!
